Logged into Vanguard for a while, didn't do much other than exploring for a bit.
Went out to New Targonor, still think Vanguard is one of the best looking games out there, however i am still lost (at lvl 8!!!) with questing..

Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy

Finally found a way to save my progress, apperantly the game does not recognize a 4 gig memory stick, however if i throw a load of junk on the memory stick until 2 gig or less space remains it does recognize the memory stick and i can save my progress.
So i am finally having fun playing the game on my PSP.

I am posting this "solution" because there seem to be quite a few people coming to this blog with a search with the same problem, so here you go :)

Of course this is not a real solution as it should be fixed in a game update!

Holidays

Last couple of days i was on holiday, so only had my PSP available to play on, mostly been playing Jeanne D'Arc on a couple of long bus trips.
Had no internet access so couldn't post any updates.

Tabula Rasa "event": The Big Suck

So i wait at the Foreas Base for about two hours for this event to happen and this is what i see, a message from admin saying it's over....
What the fuck ??
It didn't even start, no bane, no nothing just two messages saying it's over.. now i feel really screwed.. way to go, makes me really feel appreciated.

Loads of people were gathering at Foreas Base for an event that apperantly didn't start for another 4 hours, but fun anyway, seeing so many people although even my computer was lagging up (first time for me to get lag in TR), with so many people around.

Logged into Tabula Rasa for a while, went out killing some bane and i got myself a nice hat :)

Atari 2600 Joystick on the PC

Recieved my Stelladaptor today, now i can finally play Atari 2600 roms on my pc with the original Atari 2600 joysticks on a USB port, which plays a lot better than a modern joystick or keyboard when playing the roms.
Was definitely worth ordering, gonna be a whole lot of fun :)

Tabula Rasa Keyset

So, yeah i have this cool Tabula Rasa keyset for my Zboard, only to find out my Zboard base is too old and won't support my keyset....
So now i have to buy (or, as they call it "upgrade to") a new base to actually have a working keyset... this sucks... (lots of censorship).
Would have been nice if they mentioned it BEFORE i purchased it.

Test Drive Unlimited with Mass Effect

The last few days i have mostly been playing on my Xbox 360, having fun with Mass Effect and i am completely hooked to Test Drive Unlimited, it's a lot of fun driving around (and doing races) on Hawai.
Did finally get my Tabula Rasa keyset for my Zboard for my PC, but there seem to be some problems with it as it is not detected (as it should be), haven't found the time yet to start looking into it, but i hope i can get it to work..

Mass Effect

Spend most of my gaming time on the Xbox 360 playing Mass Effect, really awesome game !

Lego Star Wars II

Lego Star Wars isn't as much fun on the PSP as i had hoped, the controls work great and it's fun playing but the damn game won't recognize my 4 gb memory stick...
So i can't save it, apperantly you can only save on a memory stick that comes with the bundle, "funny" thing is mine didn't come with a memory stick.

I bought a 4 gig in the hope of never having to buy another stick, seems just to be able to save the game i have to buy yet another memory stick, this really sucks.

Mass Effect ?

If all goes well i will be playing Mass Effect today.
After reading, and hearing in podcasts, about how great this game is, i gave in and ordered a Mass Effect/Xbox 360 bundle.
I ordedred the Xbox mostly for Mass Effect (hence the bundle), but there's few more games out there that look interresting.

If they live up to their "next day delivery" promise i will be playing this when i get home from work, yay !

Well i am 4 hours into Mass Effect and i am loving it :)

Finally got past level 20 in H.E.R.O. after that it's level: Pro.
Still enjoying playing on my Atari 2600 a lot.

Tabula Rasa

Finally got back into Tabula Rasa for a while, spent most of my time defending the Hydro Plant in Divide.
It's still a lot of fun fighting off a bane attack and kicking them out of the base when they do manage to get in, sometimes they'll come from three sides at once, lots of fun :)

Jeanne D'Arc

Been playing Jeanne D'Arc on my PSP, really fun game.

More PSP gaming..

I've mostly been playing Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron on my PSP, played through the campaign and played the Galactic conquest, haven't had this much fun playing on a "handheld" since the original Gameboy way back :)
So i am pretty happy with my purchase.

A few other games i ordered for it are:
- Activision Hits Remixed, i think it's gonna be a lot of fun playing the old Atari 2600 games on the PSP (especially playing H.E.R.O.) :)
- Jeanne D'arc, read and heard a lot about it seems to be a pretty good RPG (and i really like to try an RPG on the PSP)
- Star Wars: Lethal Alliance, looked like fun and got a few pretty good reviews (and being a Star Wars fan...)
- Lego Star Wars 2: The Original Trilogy, i really like this on the pc, although i think this game will be better with the controls on the PSP (or any other console), to me this game looks like a console game, keyboard play doesn't feel right and i don't like playing this with a joystick, so i think this is going to be a lot of fun on the PSP.

Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron

Well i finally gave in and got myself a PSP, really wanted something so i could game "on the road".
Of course as a Star Wars fan the first game i got with it was Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron.

Star Wars Galaxies

Went out fishing on Naboo today :)
Managed to add 5 different fishes to 2 of my collections (the reel life and Nabooian Angler).

Played a bit of SWG, mostly exploring for collections, it's somewhat fun to do but i absolutely hate the "kill ten rats" type of collections, they're too much like grinding.... kill 100 of a, kill 200 of c, yada yada yada... boring shit.

However i do think the finding items collections are fun.

Just a couple of Atari 2600 games i've been playing:
Berzerk, Galaxian, Defender, Deadly Discs, Space Invaders, Pitfall 2.



Funny how much fun these old games are to play, so much that i've not been logging in to any of my mmo's for days or played any of the latest games.
I've been planning to play some Tabula Rasa, SWG, UT3 or Crysis but can't tear myself away from my Atari 2600..

Stargate

Stargate is a lot of fun to play, awesome gameplay.

Again today i didn't do much pc gaming (apart from the late nighter playing UT3 yesterday), i am having way too much fun playing my old (and "new") Atari 2600 games :)

Games like H.E.R.O., Dig Dug, Stargate and Pitfall are loads of fun to play.

Lock 'n' Chase

Really should get back to some mmo's but so far i am still having loads of fun playing the Atari 2600 games, like Lock 'n' Chase :)
It's funny how "simple" old games can still be so much fun, it's not about the looks but all about fun gameplay and the Atari 2600 has lots of them.

H.E.R.O.

A few days ago i mentioned i wished someone made a modern version out of H.E.R.O., well i just found a 2006 remake :)
Fun to play but i do think the controls are somewhat "slow" and it feels not as fast paced as the original.

And started playing Pitfall :)

Finally found a ROM version of H.E.R.O. (IMHO one of the best games for the Atari 2600), so i can play it on my PC.
Brings back lots of memories, funny how i still remember some of the levels, still a great game,wish they made a "modern" version out of this.

Anyway on my first attempt i made it to level 12 (out of 20) :)

Finally played some SWG again, got started on the "Collection Quest Series", so far it's fun.... well it gives me something to do again in game.

Got my copy of Crysis today, great game !
So far i am only just starting the single player campaign.
I played (multiplayer) beta for some time and played the demo, so i knew i would like it :)

Legends of Norrath

Played a little bit of the Legends of Norrath card game, did a few scenarios and won them, but i have to admit i have no clue what i am doing but it looks like a lot of fun :)

Logged in for a little while doing a few quests in Divide and just having some fun out on the battlefield fighting the Bane.

Finally managed to get the 25 Imperial Assault tokens i needed, logged in, at 4:00 AM, found the server population was low and found an instance where Imperial Valley was in Bane hands, helped taking it back and completed my last Wilderness quest and got the title "Master of Wilderness, yay !!

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Played the Call of Duty 4 Demo, quite intense, game looks great, might give this one a try.

Reached level 18, solo'd the Pravus Research Facility and the Crater Lake Reasearch Facility.
I am practicly done with Wilderness, all i need are 25 Imperial Valley assault tokens to finish the "wilderness targets of opportunity" quest line, but people are still all on defense there (in all 6 instances)..
It's getting stupid, level 18 and still hanging out in Wilderness...

Reached level 17 (almost 18), mostly been doing missions in Divide.

Made it to level 16, finally managed to solo my first instance, Caves of Donn.
At level 15 i went from Soldier to Ranger.

Hellgate London

Played a little bit of Hellgate London, did a mission and the game freezed on me again when i was selling loot to the merchant, moving stuff from my inventory to the merchant's (again, inventory)....
Had to reboot my computer to get out of the game, this is just no fun !, fix the damn game, the game is cool but no way i'm gonna get a subscription for this.

Still at level 14 (very close to 15), but finally managed to get the last 3 Landing Zone Assault tokens i needed, since people are always on defense, the bane almost never take over a base so assault tokens are very hard to get, took me over 2 hours to get these 3 tokens....
Now all i need is 25 Imperial Valley Assault tokens.... :(

Still at level 13, but doing some missions in Divide, getting majorly annoyed by people asking stuff that deserves only an answer like: "read the fucking manual" or "read your fucking mission details". People are so fucking lazy these days...

Really wish they scaled instances to level, in beta i was able to solo instances, it was tough sometimes but i could do it. I have tried a few instances and they were pretty much impossible to solo (too many high level mobs jumping me at the same time).
For now i am just leveling up and hope to be able to solo them when i level, so i don't mind to much but it is the first dent into my Tabula Rasa fanboy status :)

Yes i am a solo player, i don't want to waste my online time looking for a group! (so don't start).

Mostly been out collecting Logos and exploring, well not really, most of it is "known grounds" as i have been there before in beta, so it's not really exploring :)
But it is still fun to see the changes made since the last time i was in beta.

Think i'll be going for sniper this time with my character.

If you're a European player you might consider starting a character on a US server, at the moment there is only one EU server and it's over populated (at prime time there are often waiting times to log in), also there's a lot of people that think that since this is a European server you can speak your own language and not the "universal" language (English), it's sure annoying the hell out of me, i've actually started using /addignore on all players not speaking English.

Richard Garriot/General British (well it was an admin saying to be RG) was online last weekend stating there will be more EU servers added, they were somewhat surprised with the sales in Europe, but new server means new character as there will not be any char transfers.
He has also stated there will be English/German/French chat channels added, so chat will become a lot more enjoyable (can't come to soon for me).

Tabula Rasa - Pets

Got my Collectors Edition today, including another ingame pet,a Boo Bot.
It kinda looks like a flying robot chicken, doesn't do much other than follow you around, but it looks funny :)



Also have the PreOrder pet called a Pine-Ock, kinda looks like a monkey and other than follow you around and scratching its butt it does nothing, but again it looks funny :)

Wanted to play Tabula Rasa today, but unfortianatly my collectors edition hasn't arrived yet...



I was playing on my PreOrder copy and that has "timed out" now, so i'll have to wait until my CE arrives.



Also can't wait to get the TR keyset for my Zboard (has a delivery time of a couple of weeks), should be fun playing TR with that (instead of my G15) and i'll finally have a use for that old zboard again :), think the last time i used it was way back when i was playing lots of Delta Force: Black Hawk Down.

Hopefully i'll be back in game soon..

Having lots of fun, but one word of advice: don't pay attention to the chat.
It's whine, whine, whine..
Whine about lag, whine about SWG CU/NGE (why is it we get these losers in all new mmo's...), whine about that it takes 20 secs to kill a mob, whine about a server que that took 5 mins.., it's just constant whining.

I just don't understand the constant whining, it's very simple: don't like the game? than go fuck off and play another game that's more to your liking.

Stop the whining and start playing and enjoy a great game!

Hellgate London

So far i was having a lot of fun with Hellgate London, reached level 10 with my character.
However it seems there are still some bugs, i've had several game freezes and with the last time i had to reboot my computer because i couldn't get out of the game.
Usually it happens when working with my inventory or after using the relocators.
It's really strange cause i never experienced this during beta.
It's gotten to a point that i want to play but don't feel like it because of those freezes...
