In Mega-City, i am the law.

Been playing Judge Dredd - Dredd vs Death, reminds me a little of the Judge Dredd game i played way back on my Commodore 64.
I always liked the Judge Dredd comics so i think it's a fun shooter.

Too busy...

I'm too busy right now to get some good gaming time, however i did play a little bit of Space Robot on my Atari 2600, but didn't manage to beat my highscore on it.

donderdag 24 april 2008

So what?
At least i am having fun !!

Are you ??

Bunch of whiners, makes me wanna puke.

Finding my way again.

Still not totally "back" in the game, but i am liking it more and more.
Not playing for well over 6 months sure left it's mark, but i am slowly getting back into it.

Uploading now.

Finally found an area that has missions a bit more suitable for my level, so i am starting to have fun again, starting to get back into it.
Still think the combat in Matrix Online is pretty cool.

Still at level 19, need about 1 mil xp before i reach 20 :(

I do hate it when agents show up, they're always lvl 100, so with my lvl 19 that means 1 or 2 shots and i am dead, leaves very little time to run..

Back into the matrix.

Finally logged back into the Matrix Online, been out of it so long that i've mostly spend my time getting back into it, finding my way again as i feel kind of lost right now.
My character is at level 19, close to 20.
Of course the first mission i took brought me into an area with mobs 2-3 levels higher than me and that made it pretty much impossible for me to finish the mission as i had to escort an npc past groups of 5-6 mobs, so i guess i should first level up a bit.

More experience.

Been playing a bit more of Experience 112, really interresting as you are not directly controlling the character but kind of guiding her (and following her on cameras) through the security system by turning on lights, activating objects or opening doors to "tell" her what to do or where to go.
Really different from your average adventures.
What i also think is fun, is that when you haven't played for some time, you "log" into the game and the character will actually complain you where gone for so long, nice twist :)

Experience 112

Battlestar Galactica

Just finished watching the last episode of season 3 of Battlestar Galactica.
I think the BSG series would make an awesome game/mmo.

donderdag 17 april 2008

I should, but....

I should be gaming, but i am too caught up in watching Battlestar Galactica season 3 on dvd right now :)

Still on Crackdown

Still having lots of fun shooting and blowing up stuff in Crackdown on my 360.
The storyline may not be much, but sometimes it's just fun to go out and blow stuff skyhigh, without worrying to much about story.

zondag 13 april 2008

Been playing a lot of Crackdown on the Xbox 360, really fun game.
Lots of nice little features in this game.

This is getting out of hand! Now, there are two of them!

Went back to Palisades with my Exobiologist to finish up with all missions that i have not done yet, which are quite a lot since i had been mostly grinding to reach lvl 30, so been taking missions left and right, still at lvl 30, since the missions are all a lot lower in level than i am so, not much xp.
But i have been having a lot of fun doing them, well most that is :)
There are still missions that are somewhat annoying, especially if you have to do them for a second time (or more) as i have allready done all missions with my Sniper and some with my other chars aswell.
I have not done any instances yet, as most of them take quite some time to complete and i really want to take my time for them and not have to rush through them.

Also been having lots of fun with my new (exobiologist) abilities, being able to clone yourself is fun and a little help, although sometimes you want to be a little "stealthy" and the clone would just start attacking resulting in a lot of agro, while most of the time the clone just runs beside you not doing anything, the clone will mostly attack a target i am shooting at not any of the others that are shooting at me, which can be annoying, especially if you didn't want to attack that large group with two bosses in them.
Cadaver immolation is a lot of fun, especially at CP defense, blowing up enemy bodies and causing lots of damage to surrounding enemies is great for xp and also helps dealing with larger groups of enemies:)

Reanimation is fun, it's fun running around with a Kael besides you as a pet, although many players tend to start shooting at it :)

I still have to get the Vortex Logos for Reanimation wave (signature ability), which sounds like fun, but for now i just want to get all my missions done in Palisades and move on to the next area.

Science Fiction or Fantasy MMO ?

I've been looking forward to Age of Conan for quite some time now.
However looking at my recent (or alltime) gaming history on xfire (since 2005) i am starting to have doubts on whether this is a game for me.
Looking at the hours i put into games and how much i like playing them, i'd have to say science fiction/ modern day MMO's are the games i have played to most, games like SWG, Matrix and Tabula Rasa and the Age of Conan is more of a fantasy game, sure i play some fantasy mmo's, but not as much as SF and i do feel i have more fun playing SF type mmo's.

Maybe i should be looking more towards games like The Secret World, which are more of a modern day/SF type game.
I guess i like (ingame) guns and aliens more than swords and elves.

Currently i am enjoying Tabula Rasa so much, i can't remember the last time i had so much fun playing an mmo, or maybe i do, that would be SWG, i started playing that shortly after launch and it was my main mmo for a few years, i only "stopped" playing that after NGE when i had done most quests and there wasn't much to do, the new content (heroic encounters) is great but practicly impossible to solo with my lvl 90 smuggler/beast master (yes i like playing solo in an mmo, bite me!) so it only frustrates me and i hardly play it anymore.

I do occasionally like playing a game like LOTRO (i even have a lifetime subscription for that), Vanguard or some of the other fantasy mmo's and i have fun, but recently, thinking about my gaming i'd have to say so far there are two mmo's that really got me excited about playing, the type of mmo that you can't wait to get home to and start playing and that used to be SWG and is now Tabula Rasa.

I will probably try out Age of Conan and i will probably play it like crazy for the first few weeks or maybe months, but then it will probably follow the path of most of my other mmo's and i will play less and less and i will end up only logging in a few hours a month or less, as i do now with LOTRO, Vanguard, EQ, EQ2 and so on.
Of course having SOE's Station Access is great and that lifetime subscription with LOTRO won't cost me anything monthly, that way i can still log in to most of these games and play them if i feel like it, but is it worth getting another game with a full subscription if i allready know i will probably hardly play it a few months down the line.

Unfortianatly it doesn't look like there are many SF mmo's on the horizon, maybe i should check in (or should i say jack in) with Matrix Online instead..

Pile 'em up!

It's always fun, when the last shots are fired to go out and see the bodies piled up around the base you were just defending and a great fealing to be victorious against a large number of enemies, when during the fighting you had doubts about winning this because they just keep comming.

So, yeah i had lots of fun defending Ortho Post against the bane attacks, despite my framerate dropping to around 10 fps the whole time i was in incline.

I also reached level 30 on Mila Endelienta, so she is now an exobiologist, i also cloned and created Worrals Endelienta, who is now a medic.
I haven't really played with any of the exobiologist abilities, so i can't say yet how much fun they are, still need to get a few logos but i allready spend some points in my new abilities, like clone, cadaver immolation and reanimation. For the last two abilities i still need to get a logos (spirit and death) and i need to get the vortex logos for my signature reanimation wave, they all look like awesome abilities and can't wait to try them out.

Under attack

Didn't do a whole lot ingame, just spend a couple of hours defending Fort Dew from bane attacks and with the xp boosters getting tons of xp, my biotechnician is now lvl 28, so 2 more levels to go before i can select the next tier.

maandag 7 april 2008

Lots of fighting

Been working on my biotechnician, finished up with Divide doing the last instances.
Also did the flashpoint mission on Incline, was a lot of fun, did it several times to get a full set of armor, even managed to kill the alpha drone a couple of times.
Reached level 26, really enjoying the biotechnician, can't wait to reach lvl 30.

Also worked my Sapper up to level 18 doing a couple of instances, missions and some base defending.

Into the hellrift

Tried out Hellgate London again, stopped playing it shortly after it launched because of the many bugs and crashes i had with this game, played it for a couple of hours and so far it looks like they fixed quite some problems, although i have to say that i only played single player, so can't say anything about the online game.
Had quite a bit of fun playing this again.

Frontlines: Fuel of War

Played a bit of Frontlines: Fuel of War, after loads of frustration with the game crashing every few minutes, patching and more i found that the only way to have the game running is by having my Ageia Physx card dissabled... Talking about crap game development..., until now i never had any problems running games with my Physx card, not even old games.

Other than that it's a nice game.

City of Heroes

My collectors edition of Tabula Rasa came with a 14 trial of City of Heroes, never got around to trying it out, but today i thought i'd give it a go :)

donderdag 3 april 2008

What's up Doc!

After listening to TabulaCast yesterday i got excited about Exobiologist again so i decided to grind my biotechnician for a bit, went to Fort Dew to defend it against Bane attacks, with a couple of xp boosters i made it from lvl 21 almost to lvl 23 in little more than one hour, awesome :)

Little bear Paddington

Logged into Vanguard for a bit, started on some new quest that i got through the riftway.
Also claimed some veteran rewards, now i have a little bear cub following me around :)

Into Guardian Prominence

Went out and did a little operation in Guardian Prominence, i was initially sent there by the Vogren Hologram to retrieve a Logos, of course things turned out a bit different and included a search and rescue mission and eliminating a couple of high ranking bane, which of course was right up my alley being a sniper.

All in all a fun little instance.
